6 years agoGreen Bay running back Ty Montgomery faces a tough matchup in Week 8 when he takes on the Los Angeles Rams. Montgomery has been buried on the depth chart in Green Bay for much of this year. He really only sees action in obvious passing down situations. Despite his background as a former wide receiver, he has been unable to capitalize on those situations and turned them into meaningful fantasy production. Surprisingly, Montgomery actually leads all Green Bay’s running backs in fantasy points this season. Considering the underwhelming performance of that group it is not much of an accomplishment. Montgomery doesn’t see enough work to be able to produce consistently and doesn’t maintain the high upside of fellow running back Aaron Jones. As such he should not be started nor owned in Week 8.--Tyger McGuiggan
