Andre Drummond Fails To Post Double-Double For First Time
6 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond scored 18 points, hauled in eight rebounds and swatted away two shots in a 109-89 loss to the Celtics on Saturday night. It marked the first time in five games that the 6-foot-11 big man did not record a double-double. Drummond was 8-for-12 from the field in the game and he now has made 19 of 29 (65.5 percent) shots over his last two contests, which is nice to see after he shot under 50 percent in each of his first three games. The seventh-year pro has been more aggressive on the offensive end this year, averaging over 16 shots a game, although that hasn't resulted in more free throw attempts, which may or may not be a good thing. Going forward, Drummond will continue to be one of the top options at center.
