No Support For Frederik Andersen In Loss
6 years agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen allowed two goals on 33 shots in Monday's 3-1 home setback against the Calgary Flames. Andersen was pitching a shutout until the third period when Sean Monahan struck on the power play at 5:39, and then Elias Lindholm dinged him 55 seconds later for a 2-0 lead. Nazem Kadri sliced the lead in half on the power play, but that's all the support the Leafs could muster for their tendy. He'll hope for better offensive assistance Thursday against the Dallas Stars, but remember, the team is without stud center Auston Matthews (shoulder) for at least four weeks.
