Equanimeous St. Brown Quiet Despite Big Workload
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown caught one pass on four targets for four yards in Green Bay’s Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots. This was despite seeing a very healthy number of snaps. This isn’t the first time that the rookie wide receiver saw few targets despite a good amount of playing time. St. Brown was forced into action earlier this year due to injuries to wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison and he saw similar usage. St. Brown is still earning the trust of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and there was some miscommunication on some plays during the game. The targets that St. Brown failed to catch all would have been very difficult contested catches so there shouldn’t be any concern about the 1-for-4 line. Still, it does display the biggest weakness in St. Brown’s game; the inability to really attack the ball. At 6’5” he really needs to be able to do this. St. Brown has no relevance in redraft leagues moving forward but is a worthwhile stash in dynasty leagues.
