6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was a man on a mission Friday night in an overtime win over the Charlotte Hornets. Embiid finished with a season-high 42 points on 11-for 18 shooting from the field and an insane 19-for-22 shooting from the free throw line in 39 minutes. Embiid also contributed 18 rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Embiid continuously bodied the Charlotte frontcourt, shooting 14-for-16 from the line in fourth quarter and overtime. Embiid is shooting 81.8 percent from the line this season and is making his case for top-10 value, especially if he continues to play without minutes restrictions.
