6 years agoMinnesota Wild center Mikko Koivu posted a goal with an assist across 20:31 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-2 loss at home against the defending-champion Washington Capitals. The 35-year-old Finnish veteran snapped a eight-game goal drought dating back to Oct. 25 against the Los Angeles Kings, but he certainly hasn't been ice cold. He has managed a goal with seven points and a plus-3 rating over the past five outings, including three assists on the man advantage. He'll look to stay hot in Thursday's game against the road-weary Vancouver Canucks.--Daniel Dobish
