6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has had a disappointing year by his usual standards. While he has still been an effective fantasy quarterback, he faces a particularly tough matchup in Week 12 when he faces the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings rank 5th in pass defense DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Rodgers threw for 281 yards and only one touchdown when he played them at home earlier this year. There has been some speculation as to why Rodgers has struggled at points this season. The simple reality is that he has been playing with underwhelming receivers in an outdated offensive scheme on only one leg this year. While his health has improved, the first two problems are not going to be resolved this year. With the potential loss of tight end Jimmy Graham they may only get worse. Regardless of the situation, Rodgers provides an incredibly high weekly floor for fantasy and should be started in most circumstances. However, if there was a week where it would be prudent to bench him for a player with a better matchup then it would be Week 12.--Tyger McGuiggan
