Aaron Jones High-Risk/High-Upside Option For Week 12
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has broken out over the past few weeks. He had his second consecutive multiple touchdown game with over 100 yards from scrimmage last week against Seattle. He faces a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12 that could put that streak at risk. Jones has been remarkably efficient this year and his production has come on a low volume of touches. This would suggest that Jones will always be an up-and-down player with some huge weeks and some duds, especially if the game script gets away from him. His upside is too high and his role on the offense is too prominent for him to be left on the bench, but there is a level of risk starting him. If Minnesota goes up quickly and can prevent any big plays we could see a down week for Jones. If you happen to have a bevy of high-end RB2s on your team, you can consider benching Jones but he should be started in most other circumstances.
