6 years agoThe Green Bay Packers defense/special teams unit has been fairly mediocre this year and usually irrelevant for fantasy purposes. However, an excellent matchup in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals makes them a strong start candidate for the week. The Packers DST has proven this year that they can dominate young and inexperienced quarterbacks such as they did in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills and Week 10 against a Brock Osweiler led Miami Dolphins. With Arizona being led by an inconsistent Josh Rosen they should once again have an excellent day. The only question mark is the health of the defense, but that ultimately should not dissuade you from starting them this week. They should be viewed as a high-end DST option for Week 13. Going forward they should be avoided in Week 14 when they play the Atlanta Falcons but should warrant some consideration against the Chicago bears in Week 15 and the New York Jets in Week 16. So the Packers DST is worth holding on to for the entire fantasy playoff run.--Tyger McGuiggan
