6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones ran for 36 yards on 11 attempts and caught four passes for 16 yards in a Week 13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. A touchdown in the fourth quarter salvaged his day for fantasy purposes. Arizona has a very shaky run defense that Jones and Green Bay should have been able to exploit. However, several of Green Bay’s offensive linemen went down during the game. It killed Green Bay’s run blocking and hampered Jones and the rest of the running attack for the day. Jones is a player that is likely to never get more than 15 touches a game at any point this season. Although it is a high enough usage to make him a starting caliber running back in fantasy, it isn’t enough for him to be able to consistently have big yardage days. While his week-to-week upside remains very high, this game should serve as a reminder that Jones carries more risk than players who have a similar level of production. Regardless, he should be viewed as a high-end RB2 as we go into the fantasy playoffs.--Tyger McGuiggan
