6 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard/small forward Rodney McGruder has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s contest against the Utah Jazz with a right ankle sprain. McGruder suffered the injury during the first quarter, meaning the already taxed Miami backcourt will really be up against it. Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson were ruled out prior to tip-off, leaving Wayne Ellington, Dwyane Wade and to some extent, Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson, to help fill point guard duties. McGruder’s next chance to return comes Tuesday against Orlando.--Jesse Borek
