6 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea had another strong showing Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, scoring 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting in just 18 minutes off the bench. Barea also added four assists, two rebounds and two steals, packing the stat sheet in his abbreviated run on the court. With Dennis Smith Jr. missing Wednesday’s contest, owners looked to Barea to take a step forward, and while he may not have matched the minutes expected, he delivered a strong performance.--Jesse Borek
