6 years agoGreen Bay Packers No. 2 running back Jamaal Williams will have an excellent matchup in Week 14 when the Packers take on the Atlanta Falcons. Williams had seen his role reduced to almost nothing until Week 13 when he saw seven carries. This was the most work he had seen since Week 9. Williams is simply a much less effective player than starting running back Aaron Jones, so don’t read too heavily into this relatively heavier workload. There is uncertainty about the running back rotation after the departure of head coach Mike McCarthy, but Williams has shown that he isn’t an effective option in fantasy unless he gets more than 20 touches a game. There may be a temptation to consider him for those in a desperate situation. However, Williams is not an efficient enough runner to be able to put up stats if he only sees 10-15 touches a game and the likelihood that he gets that many is incredibly low. Williams should be avoided in all formats for Week 14.--Tyger McGuiggan
