Dante Pettis Becoming Instrumental In 49ers Offense
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis should start opposite Marquise Goodwin in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. With Pierre Garcon (knee) ruled out, Pettis will look to build off two consecutive impressive games. The second-round rookie has scored three touchdowns and tallied 206 receiving yards since Week 12 and faces a tough Broncos secondary that lost top cornerback Chris Harris in Week 13. Tight end George Kittle will likely be the focus of the Broncos defense and with Goodwin returning from a two-week absence, attention should be diverted from Pettis. Having played over 90 percent of snaps the past two weeks, the ascending Pettis should be considered a fringe WR3 for Sunday’s matchup.
