6 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin has picked up a probable designation for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a bruised left knee. The injury would come at a tough time for Griffin, who is coming off back-to-back 30-point performances. He did get banged around during Friday’s loss to Philadelphia, shooting a career-high 24 free throws, so it’s understandable that he could be a bit sore. Stanley Johnson would potentially benefit from any type of Griffin absence, but he was a late scratch from the lineup Friday in his own right.--Jesse Borek
