6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Bobby Portis will miss his 23rd consecutive game Saturday against the Boston Celtics, although there was optimism earlier in the day that he could return from the MCL injury that has kept him out since Oct. 24. For owners that have held onto Portis, the return appears to be coming soon, as evident by his progression on the injury report. Unfortunately, how quickly he is reinserted into the rotation is still to be seen with Lauri Markkanen, Jabari Parker and Wendell Carter Jr. all jostling for frontcourt minutes. Portis’ next chance to suit up comes Monday against the Sacramento Kings.--Jesse Borek
