6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans small/power forward Nikola Mirotic will miss Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to the right ankle injury that forced him from Monday’s contest versus the Boston Celtics. Head coach Alvin Gentry certainly didn’t sound optimistic when diagnosing how long Mirotic would be on the shelf, so owners should likely begin researching their next step. Julius Randle has seen the biggest increase in production without Mirotic, but others in the New Orleans offense may be asked to step up with 17.4 points per game sitting on the sidelines.--Jesse Borek
