Blake Griffin Finished With 34 Points Monday
6 years agoDetroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin shouldered a heavy workload on offense Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Griffin finished with a game-high 34 points on 13-for-21 shooting while adding eight assists, two rebounds and two three-pointers in 37 minutes. The Pistons were very thin in the frontcourt, forcing Griffin to play a small-ball center whenever Andre Drummond took a rest. This allowed Griffin to orchestrate the team's offense, leading to his offensive outburst on the stat sheet for the second straight night. Griffin has been labeled as injury-prone, but it's hard to dismiss how incredible he has played this season. Griffin should continue to be the focal point of Detroit's offense while he remains on the court.
