6 years agoNewly acquired New York Knicks guard Dennis Smith Jr. took over New York's offense Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons. Smith scored 25 points on 11-for-25 shooting while adding six rebounds, five assists, and two three-pointers in 39 minutes. Smith took a huge step up from his eight point debut in a Knicks jersey on Sunday. It appears coach David Fizdale is already comfortable giving the reigns to the franchise to Smith as evident by his 25 shot attempts and 39 minutes played, both team-highs on Tuesday.
