6 years agoOrlando Magic small forward Jonathon Simmons was traded Thursday to the Philadelphia 76ers in a deal that sent former first overall pick point guard Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The 76ers will also receive from the Magic a second round pick and a protected first round pick. Simmons looks to be at best a bench rotation guy for the 76ers since Simmons has averaged just 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists a contest for the Magic. The main reasoning for the trade for the 76ers was to attempt to recoup something for Fultz which has battled injuries since being drafted by the 76ers in 2017. The 76ers and Simmons play next on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. With the depth that the 76ers have, I wouldn't expect much production out of Simmons for fantasy players.--Matt Sparkington - RotoBaller
