FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/1/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

We only had six games last night, which generally means we'd have nine or more games tonight. That isn't the case, though, as we only have seven games tonight. Still, there are more than enough games for us to have plenty of options to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/1/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Make sure you don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @BalesSJustin on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

De'Aaron Fox - PG, vs LAC ($8,000)

Fox has been playing well since the All Star Break, as he's averaging 19.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 34.0 minutes per game. He has scored 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games, as well. Tonight, Fox gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, who have struggled against point guards this season. Furthermore, this game will feature one of the fastest paces on the slate, and Fox comes with added upside against Los Angeles.

Zach LaVine - SG, at ATL ($8,300)

LaVine is another player that has caught fire recently. Since the All Star Break, he's averaging 26.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 35.5 minutes per game. He has flashed 50+ fantasy point upside, and gets an elite matchup tonight. The Atlanta Hawks play at the fastest pace in the NBA, giving LaVine extra scoring opportunities tonight. They also feature one of the worst defensive backcourts in the league, making this an ideal matchup for someone like LaVine.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Nicolas Batum - SF, at BKN ($6,100)

Following the trend, Batum has looked outstanding since the All Star Break. In his four games since then, he's averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.5 steals in 38.1 minutes per game. He scored 35+ fantasy points in three of those four games, including a 43.2 fantasy point performance in his last game. Batum gets a great matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, and he's a versatile option, who can score in multiple categories. Batum isn't safe enough to be considered in cash games, but he's an outstanding tournament option.

Ed Davis - PF, vs CHA ($4,200)

Davis is another high upside forward, who comes with quite a bit of risk. He surprisingly only played nine minutes in his last game, but he was playing 20+ minutes on a relatively consistent basis in his few games prior to that. Davis is a player that can score 35 fantasy points when given 20 minutes in a game, and he gets a plus matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. He shouldn't be used in cash games, although his price tag allows him to make up the drop score. Davis is still best suited for tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein - C, vs LAC ($5,500)

Cauley-Stein has featured plenty of ups and downs throughout the season, and they have manly been linked to his inconsistent minutes. He only scored 24.3 fantasy points in his last game, but played 32 minutes. While that game did hit overtime, it's an encouraging sign, as Marvin Bagley was injured, and Cauley-Stein was forced into bigger minutes. He'll likely find minutes in the mid- to high-20s tonight, and he gets an elite matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. They have struggled against centers for the majority of the season, and Cauley-Stein makes a high upside option tonight.
