6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton had a very good performance Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Payton scored 14 points going four for eleven from the floor and five for six from the charity stripe. Besides Payton's scoring output he also had 16 assists and 12 boards. This was the third triple-double in a row for Payton which also coincides with star guard Jrue Holiday also going down with an injury. The Pelicans and Payton will face the Phoenix Suns next on Saturday. The Suns have the eleventh fastest pace of play so expect Payton to continue his hot streak.--Matt Sparkington - RotoBaller
