6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was not in the starting lineup against a left-handed pitcher on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs, but he delivered a big two-run single in the seventh inning against another southpaw reliever. Manager Chris Woodward said he has a lot of trust in Choo, and he said the veteran outfielder might start as many as the next 10 games with opposing rotations lined up to start right-handed pitching against the Rangers. It starts Monday against the Houston Astros, who have righties Brad Peacock, Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole lined up. Choo is a nice AL-only fantasy play, and he has some use in deeper mixed play as well, mostly for his on-base percentage.--Daniel Dobish
