6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Matt Strahm was rocked for five earned runs in 2 2/3 innings Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Strahm served up a leadoff home run to D-backs outfielder Adam Jones and it was downhill from there. He was rattled the entire outing, allowing eight hits and three walks while striking out two. Strahm created some fantasy buzz and deservedly earned a starting spot with a strong spring training but this was a discouraging setback. Strahm has the pitch arsenal and strikeout potential to be a quality starter so the Padres are unlikely to panic. Fantasy owners should remain patient and reassess the situation after his start this Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals. If he can keep the nerves under control, he should be fine.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
