Jake Lamb Injured Wednesday, Scheduled For MRI
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Jake Lamb (quadriceps) delivered an RBI double in the top of the ninth inning to break up a shutout in Wednesday's 4-1 loss against the San Diego Padres. That's the good news. The bad news is that he pulled up lame midway between first and second base with what is being called a strained left quadriceps, and manager Torey Lovullo said Lamb will have an MRI on Thursday. If Lamb is forced to the 10-day injured list, it's great news for the short-term fantasy prospects of Christian Walker, who should be able to play every day.
