Tommy Pham Halfway To The Splendid Splinter
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham singled in Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants to extend his team-record streak of reaching base to 42 games. He is now halfway to the Major League Record of 84 straight games set by Hall of Famer Ted Williams back in 1949. Pham is slashing .270/.378/.270 with six walks and nine strikeouts over his first 10 outings. Pham might be reaching base, but he is doing so with very, very little power. He has zero extra-base hits and just three RBI, making him worth starting in deeper AL-only fantasy leagues despite the nice on-base streak.
