6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is expected to take a seat for Monday's series opener against the Chicago White Sox with a left-handed starting pitcher on the mound for the home side. Entering the season, Kiermaier hit .234 (75-for-320) with 12 doubles, five triples, seven homers and 41 RBI with 94 strikeouts and a .679 OPS against southpaws while slashing .253/.322/.430 with a .752 OPS against right-handed pitching.
