6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed two earned runs while scattering seven hits across 6 2/3 innings in a victory Tuesday in Baltimore. All seven of the knocks he allowed were singles, and he also walked one and struck out four batters while throwing 60 of his 88 pitches for strikes. He managed to get out of trouble despite throwing just 13 first-pitch strikes to the 26 batters he faced, running his record to 3-0 with a 2.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP. Anderson faces a favorable matchup next time out in Texas on Sunday opposite RHP Shelby Miller.--Daniel Dobish
