Nick Margevicius Brilliant Once Again
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Nick Margevicius fanned six San Francisco Giants on Wednesday in six frames to earn his first major league victory. For the third time in as many starts, Margevicius was brilliant, allowing just five hits and zero walks. The 22-year-old rookie has been a major positive surprise in the Padres rotation with an outstanding 1.69 ERA and 0.63 WHIP over 16 innings. While his 6.8 K/9 could improve, Margevicius has succeeded with pinpoint control and ground-ball tendencies. He’s now firmly on the streamer radar and is likely a dirt-cheap DFS option. He’ll have an opportunity to keep it rolling next Tuesday at home against the Colorado Rockies.
