6 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants. Machado’s third long ball of the season was a go-ahead opposite-field shot in the sixth inning that proved to be the winning run. After going homerless in his first six contests as a Padre, Machado has gone deep three times in seven games. He’ll carry a .244/.370/.467 slash and 13 runs-plus-RBI into a four-game weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
