Andrei Vasilevskiy Fritters Away Big Lead In Game 1 Loss
6 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 26 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss at home in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Vasilevskiy was staked to a 3-0 lead heading to the room after one period, but Nick Foligno broke the ice for the Jackets midway through the first, and they had three third-period goals, including a shorthanded marker by Josh Anderson and the eventual game-winner on a power play by Seth Jones. The Vezina Trophy candidate will look to bounce back at Amalie Arena on Friday night in Game 2.
