6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Derek Holland allowed four earned runs, four hits and four walks with six strikeouts over six innings in a loss Sunday against the Colorado Rockies. Holland threw 62 of his 101 pitches for strikes, and had first-pitch strikes to 18 of the 26 batters he faced. However, the offense managed just one hit against Colorado's German Marquez, a lone single by third baseman Evan Longoria with one out in the eighth inning. Holland will look for more support when he hits the mound again on Saturday in a nationally-televised game in Pittsburgh.--Daniel Dobish
