6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby allowed five goals on 45 shots in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday. It was a constant barrage from the young, hungry Canes, as Holtby faced 15 shots in the first, 18 shots in the second and 12 shots in the third period, getting no breaks. The Hurricanes also dinged him for two goals on the man advantage, both wire jobs from rearguard Dougie Hamilton. Holtby and the Capitals will look to bounce back in Game 4 on Thursday night at PNC Arena in Raleigh.--Daniel Dobish
