6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner turned in a solid performance in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Rays. Cashner pitched five innings, allowing two runs on five hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with six strikeouts. The 32-year-old now has a 3-1 record and a 4.97 ERA on the season with 15 strikeouts, 12 walks, and five HR allowed in 25 1/3 IP. He offers little in terms of counting stats, but Cashner hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in each of his last four starts. He is next slated to face a decent White Sox matchup at home. Cashner could potentially be used as a cheap daily play for that start but should not be considered in full-season leagues at this time.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
