6 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin registered a goal in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday. He also posted a minus-two rating, a slashing call and a 10-minute game misconduct late in the third period while adding five hits over 21:27 of ice time across 24 shifts. Ovie won't likely face any kind of disciplinary action for his penalty. He scored for the third straight playoff game and he now has 65 postseason goals to move into sole possession of 22nd place on the NHL's career list. Next up is Game 7 against the Hurricanes back in D.C. on Wednesday night.--Daniel Dobish
