6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes left wing Brock McGinn tipped in a pass from Mr. Game 7, Justin Williams, at the 11:05 mark of double overtime in Wednesday's series-clinching win in the decisive game against the Washington Capitals. McGinn also finished with an assist, while defenseman Brett Pesce also chipped in with two assists, a plus-one rating, a blocked shot and a hit. Left wing Sebastian Aho, center Jordan Staal and left wing Teuvo Teravainen also lit the lamp. The Hurricanes will travel to Brooklyn to meet the New York Islanders in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Friday.--Daniel Dobish
