6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal notched the game-winning tally in Game 1 against the New York Islanders on Friday, scoring the only goal of the game in overtime. Staal has been Mr. Clutch lately, notching the game-winning goal in Game 6, the game-tying goal to force overtime in Game 7, and the decisive goal in the opener of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Staal is one of just a handful of Hurricanes with extensive postseason experience and it is showing. Game 2 is set for Sunday in Brooklyn.--Daniel Dobish
