6 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer allowed four goals on 26 shots in a Game 1 road loss against the San Jose Sharks in the series opener of the Western Conference Semifinals. Grubauer did a good job in the first and third periods, but he was tagged for three goals in the second period, as Joe Thornton, Kevin Labanc and Brent Burns each lit the lamp. Grubauer and the Avalanche will look to square the series and gain home-ice advantage in Game 2 back at the Shark Tank on Sunday evening.--Daniel Dobish
