Brendan Gaughan Surprises With Eighth-Place Showing
6 years agoBeard Motorsports driver Brendan Gaughan surprised with an eighth-place run at the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. It was even more impressive considering Tyler Reddick qualified 29th in the No. 62 Chevrolet, allowing Gaughan to return home to Las Vegas for his son's communion. As such, there was a driver change and Gaughan had to start at the back of the pack on Sunday. The veteran is racing part-time, and the next time we'll likely see him in a Cup car is in July at Daytona.
