6 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Robbie Grossman went hitless in four at bats with a pair of walks and a strikeout on Sunday in Toronto as his batting average slipped to a dismal .216. Overall he is slashing just .216/.310/.338, and he is in the midst of a 3-for-25 (.120) skid with only two extra-base hits and two RBI over the eight-game span. Look, Grossman isn't going to tear it up and post huge offensive numbers, but he can be a decent table setter near the top of Oakland's lineup. If he is skidding, it's a domino affect hurting the numbers of everyone else, too. He'll look to snap out of his funk as the team begins a three-game series in Boston on Monday night.--Daniel Dobish
