6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Edwin Jackson allowed two runs, five hits and no walks with nine strikeouts in a minor-league outing for Class A Stockton (Calif.) on Sunday. The next step is for Jackson to move to Triple-A Las Vegas at some point in the next week as he continues what is essentially a conditioning stint after signing a minor-league deal earlier in the month. He posted a 6-3 record and 3.33 ERA in 2018, and the team was 14-3 in his 17 starts. It's possible he comes up to the big club sometime in May, and if so he isn't a bad option in deeper AL-only fantasy leagues.--Daniel Dobish
