Max Muncy Atones For Gaffe With Solid Offense
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first/third baseman Max Muncy made a throwing error in the second inning to cost his starting pitcher Rich Hill four unearned runs, but he atoned with three singles and a pair of RBI in the 7-6 comeback win. That included the go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning off of reliever Richard Rodriguez. Muncy entered the day hitless in 15 at-bats, dropping his average from .270 to .218 just since April 18. Perhaps this multi-hit and multi-RBI performance will snap him back on track. Based on his production last season he remains a must-start in most fantasy leagues through thick and thin.
