6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard continued his superstar play in the series opener against the Nuggets on Monday, but his 39 points were not enough in the eight-point loss. Lillard drilled 12 of his 21 shots and connected on 11-for-13 shooting at the line while adding six assists with three rebounds and a steal. Lillard did commit six turnovers, but that can be expected with the usage rate the guard is playing with right now. Lillard will hope to get more help from his supporting cast in Game 2 if his club plans to steal a game in Denver.--Gianni Costantiello
