6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas allowed seven runs - one earned - and eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a road loss against the Boston Red Sox on Monday. He wasn't particularly sharp, but his defense let him down, particularly Jurickson Profar, who committed a throwing error which led to the six unearned runs in the third inning. Montas is still a solid 4-2 with a 2.97 ERA, making him a must-have in AL-only leagues and most mixed formats. He'll look to bounce back Sunday in Pittsburgh opposite RHP Jordan Lyles.--Daniel Dobish
