6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks pitchers Taylor Clarke and Taylor Widener could be potential options to fill the rotation void for manager Torey Lovullo after Zack Godley was demoted to the bullpen. Lovullo said Tuesday that Matt Andriese isn't an option, and general manager Dan Hazen indicated Jon Duplantier isn't stretched out enough to help out in the short term. Hazen mentioned Widener's name as a possible solution, and Clarke would also be in the mix. Neither is a terribly attractive fantasy option outside of deeper NL-only formats, as they're likely to be keeping the spot warm for when Godley irons out his issues or the club elects to give Duplantier the keys to the car.--Daniel Dobish
