6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain (hand) will not be available for Monday's game against the Washington Nationals after leaving Sunday with a hand contusion as the result of a hit by pitch. Manager Craig Counsell ruled Cain out for Monday's game, but Cain said the hand is swollen, but good, and that he plans to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's game in D.C. Even if he plays Tuesday, the team has an off day on Thursday, so he would be limited to five games in the upcoming week. If you have healthier options, it might be a good idea to reserve Cain to be on the safe side.--Daniel Dobish
