Anthony Rizzo Goes Hitless On Friday
6 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo went 0-for-3 with a walk in the 7-0 loss to the Brewers. It was a poor showing for the Cubs, who had won 10 of their last 12 games before hosting Milwaukee on Friday, but they were unable to overcome Gio Gonzalez, who pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing only two hits. Rizzo will attempt to get his team back on track against Zach Davies on Saturday afternoon, with the 29-year-old averaging .286 along with eight hits and four RBI in 28 at-bats against the righty throughout his career.
