6 years agoStewart-Haas Racing driver Daniel Suarez was first in the two practice sessions at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, including a speed of 180.705 mph in the afternoon session and 182.143 mph in the morning run. As far as the best 10 consecutive lap averages are concerned, he was a solid sixth with an average of 179.134 mph in Laps 28-37. He'll go off sixth in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600, looking to improve on an impressive 10.7 Average-Finish Position in three career Cup starts on Charlotte's tri-oval. He finished 11th in the spring 2017 run, sixth in the fall 2017 race and 15th in last year's 600 at CMS.--Daniel Dobish
