Jharel Cotton Continues To Make Progress
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jharel Cotton (elbow) will have his pitch count bumped up to 60 in his minor-league rehab start with Class A Stockton (Calif.) on Tuesday. Barring any setbacks he will then move his rehab to Triple-A Las Vegas after that. He continues to make progress in his return from Tommy John surgery. Manager Bob Melvin has said he will consider using injured guys like Cotton, AJ Puk (elbow), etc. in the bullpen when they return, as the team looks to limited their workload after returning from reconstructive elbow surgery. Fantasy owners will want to be very careful with Cotton and only add him as a wait-and-see option in AL-only leagues.
