Trevor Gott Lands On 10-Day Injured List
6 years agoThe San Francisco Giants placed relief pitcher Trevor Gott (forearm) on the 10-day injured list due to a strained right forearm. They recalled pitcher Dereck Rodriguez from Triple-A Sacramento in the corresponding move. Until recently, Gott had been the most effective reliever for the Giants, posting a 1.93 ERA until he served up three runs and two hits with two walks in just two-thirds of an inning on Saturday against Arizona. Apparently an injury was to blame for that outing. He still has a 3.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with a 2-0 record over 24 innings. Gott is worth a look in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues which use true middle relievers when healthy.
